Linear algebra people! I have a lot of honors students in my linear algebra class this semester, and I'm looking for nice articles at the Monthly/Mathematics Magazine level to work through with them. Suggestions? They're in a wide variety of majors, and I'd say Calc III is the max common background. - ThreadSky

I don't have like a magazine article offhand, but spectral graph theory is pretty accessible. Spielman's stuff is particularly good imo -- he's working on a textbook and the "tutorial" slides are lovely.

I would like you to know that not only did the students really enjoy this, but one of my colleagues wandered into the room while we were talking and was so enthralled that he absentmindedly spilled his glass of water onto one of my students' backpacks.
