Even the pitch dimensions at Geodis have been tweaked to fit BJ Callaghan's approach. Nashville SC's playing surface is now officially 115x72 yards, down from 120x75 in 2024.

For @sixonefivesoccer.com, I took a more in-depth look at Nashville SC's 4-2-2-2 formation and how they're trying to make the field incredibly narrow whenever they can, as well as a glaring way for opponents to exploit it.

BJ: "Let's narrow and shorten the pitch."
Groundscrew: "OK, we can do 110x70."
BJ: "Whoa, easy there, buddy. 115x72'll do fine."
I don't want all baseball diamonds to have the same outfield dimensions, and I don't want all soccer pitches to be cookie-cutter either.
Change the field to make it harder for opposing teams to play on!
