First and middle initial. Was called 'BJ' quite a lot as a child. I dont feel like culturally 'BJ' was always associated with the sexual act though. At least not around here.
When you have a name like that, nobody is going to call you Richard, Rich, Rick, or any of the possible variants except the one. You can spend your time fruitlessly fighting against it, or just go with it. Those are some words of wisdom I picked up from former NASCAR driver Richard L. Trickle.
that exchange happened at *least* twice on the series with other characters and tbh it never occurred to me until just now that that's what the lowkey joke of that comment was probably aiming for
My sister went on a date with a guy named BJ and when she was telling me about him, I was sitting there just BURSTING AT THE SEAMS TRYING NOT TO LAUGH. I am immature. :')
For one brief, shining year, I attended Bloomington Junior High School. My Mom still talks about how horrified she was the first time she saw me in my “BJHS” sweatshirt.

Some people take being passive-aggressive way too far.
Trouble is, the more shit BJ caused, the closer his mom got to agreeing with his dad.
So rough when dad uses you to troll your mom.
It’s always fun to reconnect, even if your paths in this lifetime don’t align.

The best part? Someone found out in junior year that wasn’t even his legal first name. His parents told him to go by his middle name.
I wonder what Doobie is up to these days?
