What am I missing? Is it a fail to ask a legitimate question and provide a platform for the politician to respond? The objective
of journalism, I thought, is to ask tough question of all politicians, regardless of their party affiliation and let the audience decide if the answer is plausible.

She’s grown into the job but not a successor. Sean Fraser a good up and comer as he is 35 times as smart as Poilievre and many time tougher.

I agree Fraser would be a great successor, however I think Joly’s performance has been poor at best. As much as I don’t like Freeland, she was much better in that role.

I think Joly in over her head in the first couple of years but has grown somewhat in the last couple years. It’s a tough gig being in that position with such a polarized world. It’s a challenge to know who ones allies are these days

Last summer when she didn’t know there was a Cdn navy ship in Cuba was a huge red flag. Port calls in foreign ports go to that minister along with small team trg engagements in foreign countries.
