The billionaires created the online misinformation dystopian nightmare, disengaged us from community building and mutual aid in favor of their wallets, and now they want us to stew in all of it alone and isolated while they recreate mainstream news to their own ends. DEMOCRACY HAS DIED IN DARKNESS.

Since I have defended and supported the WaPo in the months since the election and the infamous pulled endorsement, I feel obliged to say: this is very, very bad. A dear friend at a Post vet says it's the worst thing to happen to the Post in its long history, and I can't argue.
