So I'm on a buy-less, buy-nothing, buy-intentionally year (depending on the category of product).
And one thing I LOVE as a result of this is making my own vegetable stock weekly.
All the scraps that would normally go into my compost bin are frozen over the week and then boiled down into stock.

(I tried chicken stock once but the chicken soup recipes I use already just call for water and chicken on the bone so it was a waste).
Anyway these are the scraps that got secondary use, and also the pretty, pretty stock that will keep me in soup for a week!
