Perhaps even more than corruption, the problem with the legal system is slowness. Cases against Trump filed in 2017 weren't resolved until Biden's term. Cases filed in 2022 couldn't finish before the 2024 election. If urgent litigation takes years, even a well-meaning judge cannot help much.
