This is good, and I'm glad for it, but it seems so wrong we will continue paying federal taxes without funds going to vital services for our people, research...--especially for those most in need.

TBF, it isn't the job of Johns Hopkins University to provide funds to mitigate the effects of an inept and corrupt administration. Their research should *ALWAYS* be fully funded considering the benefits they bring to society. If you're unhappy about vital services going unfunded, look elsewhere.

I didn't state my point well? I'll try again. JHU research, absolutely, must be funded, and I'm glad they are finding ways to fund it.
My complaint is that the funding should not have been cut by Trump. He still takes our taxes WHILE he cuts services and funding.

Fun fact, not to Amanda but to others in the comments: it's Johns. Johns was the founder's first name. His parents gave him, as a first name, his mother's family name. I wouldn't have done it that way, but they did, and that's why the university is named Johns Hopkins.

Yeah... we got the whole story during freshman orientation. Another fun fact, the Eisenhower Library (the building in the background of the picture) has 6 floors, with the entrances on the 5th and 6th floors. The other 4 levels (A-D) are underground.
