For anyone thinking about doing something similar.

My dad was born in N. Ireland. I had to get his official birth certificate (took about 3 months) which gave me citizenship by descent

I submitted the form the night Trump was elected. I forgot to send one form which extended the process by about a month.

It also got lost in the mail coming to me (not sure how long)

I think it’s supposed to take 1-2 months. Mine took almost 4
