Return of the Jedi is perhaps the star wars film that suffers the most from this being a massive, sprawling franchise that seeks to explore every inch. There are parts that fall apart with knowledge the filmmakers didn't even know. Its tone can be odd, but I find it really worked for me.
I missed seeing this one in theaters! I had a great time with this one. I adored the modern visuals with classic sound effects, and I also adored the camera angles and shot composition. It a little episodic which is an issue for some but not for me
Great film. If anything I feel a little let down by the hype cycle around this film, but its more of "I got the vibes that this was a 9 or a 10 but I felt more of an 8" than a true disappointment. Incredible soundtrack to this film, honestly worth seeing just for that aspect alone. Support this film
Context: I saw this in a hospital, so a little im biased. This film is fine. Pratt isnt that bad of a Garfield. It has its funny moments, and even some touching ones. It just isn't consistent enough to feel like its a must watch. Im sure diehard Garfheads either adore or despise this one though.
This was a nostalgic fun time. the CG aged like a fine milk, and the writing is delightfully cheesey. But its also something i watched a lot growing up. a great revist
