This LP was a huge game changer for me as well. Mine was a later release, on Elektra I think. I had brown up with a few key scratchy singles around the house via cool cousins, but to have those and more on LP set me on a lifelong psych mission.

My gateway to garage. I'd heard of it thrru the bands I liked at the time so I knew it was a must and an original Butterfly copy in Bolton's X-Records at the very affordable price of £10 (sleeve a bit battered but vinyl mint - unplayed!) was a no brainer. First track in - yeah, I'm hooked!

Just the greatest: so well sequenced also. By the time you get to It's-A-Happening by The Magic Mushrooms, you know you're teetering on the edge of something daft and beautiful that could no longer be sustained, more's the pity.
