Wonder how many people are biting the bullet with appliance purchases because they anticipate the 'Tariff' tax will make these items sky rocket next year.
Funny, I didn't buy shit. If it were up to me, I would do away completely with Christmas. Just another pear pressure marketing scheme to stimulate consumerism. When I gift, I do it because I want to, not because I have to. I like to do it when nobody expect it. Creating a true surprise.
I guess they think that since after the election it's all the optimism of trump coming in that caused that Black Friday to be successful. If anything next Black Friday will be the worst in history because we will have tariffs that are ridiculously large and mass deportation that FS us up
This Thanksgiving, the airports and roads were absolutely PACKED with people who were going to visit their families for the holiday, and the cost of travel was no big deal although they couldn't afford eggs.
And NBC was the one telling us that inflation was a problem. Corps raise prices, media parrots it, it’s real, vote the guy in who is pro corp and pro tax cuts, then change the narrative to control him at the risk of our nation.
Well of course, they have what they want right? But I do wonder how much of it is people trying to buy what they will need that will be more expensive next year.
I did a lot of BF shopping. All medical or otherwise essential supplies that will be affected by the hell to come.
We spent more than usual this weekend on electronics stuff that would likely go up after more tariffs. Maybe that's part of it. We also weren't complaining about egg prices & are Left-Leaning.
