FFS people, go into settings > accessibility > force alt-text before posting. It's an option to help disabled folks here, who helped build the site long before we were here, so just do it.
I tried to set this up my phone and could not figure out how to ‘force alt text’. I am fortunate not to personally need that option and willing to learn how to do it to help others.

The long and short of it is the following.
On the main menu go to the 3 bars in the upper left-hand corner, then settings > accessibility > toggle "require alt-text before posting".
It DOES NOT work with gifs, I struggle remembering that so heads up.
Mine are scarier. They rarely leave the house and hardly ever show their faces. They’re the silent menace. No telling what kind of arsenal they have built up.

Allowing men in our bathrooms is pushing it on me and mine. Like I said, you do what you want with your kids, don't push it on mine. My 12yo daughter should never have to share a bathroom with strange men. No girls should.
I live in the real world and it's especially dangerous for girls. Men don't belong in the bathroom with girls.. that includes boyfriends, male family members and male friends.

I'm concerned about being arrested for obstruction because I will interfere if they show up here.
It's not really a one-tweet discussion, but basically: a tribalistic culture that considers itself superior and at liberty to abuse and subjugate and take advantage of everyone else, probably because 'god says so'. No amount of tolerance and goodwill will make them a good neighbor.
The thing is, I'm the US we tend to idealize the phenomenon of having a world with vibrant interesting coexisting cultures. And we forget that most other cultures don't see it that way. They think they should rule everyone.
Americans are the most welcoming people of any nation and willing to help. Where that rule breaks down is in democrat run cities where suicidal empathy and believing all who come are good means they have flooded the city with drugs and criminals

I work in a law office. I've seen the ratio of crimes committed by citizens vs illegal immigrants. I could count on 1 hand the number of immigrants with criminal charges and they were very minor, usually traffic infractions.
Reviving community everywhere is essential, and not just in the USA. @aoc.bsky.social's slogan (assuming she originated it, but must be carved in stone): 'community is the antidote to despair'.
It takes greater intelligence to understand those of another culture than is required to understand one who mirrors our thinking because mirrored thoughts follow existing neural pathways while understanding another culture requires new neural pathways.

I can attest to that. I’m a refugee/immigrant. My parents, siblings and I had to leave everything behind in order to escape our war torn country and the communist party and seek a better life for ourselves.

We've always helped immigrants. Immigrants who are here legally we got you. If you're here illegally we help them too, right out of the country. Because it's the law.

It is truly sad that the descendants of people who came to the USA to escape religious, political, and economic persecution are turning the USA into the country they left behind.
I know a lot of immigrants and a number of them who have become citizens. Each story is amazing in its own way. These people are good people in a bad spot. It takes years to become a citizen, and at this point I’m shocked they still want to be an American.

I was out with my dog last night & saw that the home of a neighbor whom I very much like & who is an undocumented immigrant is now sitting empty, pretty much overnight. Heartbreaking. She was just here with her own small business, trying to live the American dream & desperate to become a citizen.😢
The cruelty is the point! It doesn’t appear that any outside cameras or ever allowed, the White House and ICE are only producing the photos that they want.
