We expect that the design options for Gladstone bike lanes will go out for public consultation this spring/summer and to committee in the fall. If things go as planned, they should be under construction in 2026. Community advocacy works!

There were actually two accidents. Twenty years ago, a young man was killed at the very same intersection. His mom came to our rally in June 2023 and is hugely supportive of making Gladstone safer.

Not quite right now, but they will connect to a new contra flow bike lane on Gilmour after Bronson street. It will provide a safe cycling route from the LRT to Elgin!
