And what worries me about all of this is that if this earthquake began on a fault line, the next question I have is this. Is the rising temperature of the Earth contributed to this earthquake? I’m truly concerned about this.

I, having grown up in the PNW, have been in a few quakes. I was in SF during the Loma Prieta. It was only M6.9, many orders of magnitude less then this one.
