Just like I find folks to follow from lists of those followed on profile pages of people I follow & scoop them up by dozens. If a profile also had a list of those blocked, we could go through and block them one at a time, or all at once? That would be great.
Of course it was OK. However, I don’t really think Marc will see it.. Since I am retired and don’t have a lot to do, this will be my way to contribute to democracy and saving our country.
Hi! I just created my first list of accounts that others mights want to block. So many hateful trolls showing up. I’m not sure how to share it with anyone. Could you advise me or could I send it to you? Thank you and if it’s not something you want to deal with, I understand.
OK, I hope I explain this correctly. That is not a moderation list that you created. What you have is a list that will show you the posts people make that day. you have to go in to settings click on moderation and then you will see where you can create a moderation list.
I have used "Block" lists that others have posted on here but am unsure how they make them. They are similar to the Starter Pack as you can block all at the same time.
Yes! I don’t know how to do it but you can create a list and others can subscribe to block or mute everyone on the list, and it automatically updates for everyone as you update!
You could do the moderation list like @skywatch.blue, or create a Starter Pack to share. Don’t know how to set up the former- users subscribe to block or mute the whole list. The latter is very easy to set up and lets folks pick and choose who to block.
New to Bluesky and have been off socials since insurrection. I found a list called "Right wing propaganda and their followers." It auto-blocks people on this list through your own moderation section in settings. I hate blind blocking according to a list someone else keeps.. but want sanity too :)
Please do. I am new to this platform and was never on Twitter. I need all the info I can get. I know how to block on FB and had to do quite a bit of it during the elections.
Go to "Settings -> Moderation -> Moderation Lists" and click "+ New". Enter a name and relevant details for your new moderation list. It will now appear under the "Lists" tab on your profile, and people can subscribe to it to mute/block all current/future accounts on the list.
You can subscribe to it as well, which makes them useful for organizing mutes/blocks by category in case you ever need to remember why you muted/blocked certain people. It's also useful for toggling on/off a whole bunch of mutes/blocks.
Of course there is! One of the things that makes BlueSky so great is that YOU can control the moderation applied to your feed—and share that with others 👍 There’s lots of advanced options, but you’re looking for simple ‘Moderation Lists’
I am assembling a list of companies who made large donations to (please don’t make me say his name)’s campaign so I can avoid them and go elsewhere. So far it’s two of the three retailers in my town, Walmart and Home Depot. Did Albertsons parent company donate too?
It's fascinating that this is a thing here. Interesting feature. Bluesky early impressions feel like social media made by people who use social media, rather than by those who monetize it.
Keep in mind, you and the moderator of some of those lists might not always agree. I was sharing an anti-rightwing block list, where the moderator was adding people from the DNC.
This list shouldn’t be shared, there are a lot of blue non-maga accounts mixed in there. Whoever is curating it is either being careless or is specifically targeting some left people he doesn’t like. Use the skywatch lists instead
Yeah, it was just a few. One guy said he didn't know how he had gotten on the list & wasn't maga so I checked his timeline. He was mostly interested in sports if I remember correctly. It's bound to happen.
This person has a starter pack for maga. Honestly, the best thing to do is go down that list and go to the followers of the people on the list. I go to who they are following and their followers and I block as many as I can. THEN I mute and block. https://bsky.app/profile/apwk.bsky.social
I understand the impulse to implement a block list created by another, trusted source, but … for me, each block will be a personal choice on a case-by-case basis. I don’t want to outsource that.
1- Click on lists in your account
2- At the top click "new"
3- Name your list and description
4-Go to the accounts you want to add to that new list by clicking the three dots in each individual account. There it has a choice of adding them to your list.
Modification lists. They’re great. Subscribe & block all. Found one for maga and now on this comment section for nazi. Way easier than blocking one at a time. There’s also starter packs for finding people.
Yes. I saw a post yesterday with the instructions for how to auto block their list of right wing nationalists … don’t know how they set it up. If I can find it again, I’ll post here
Found it. Not sure how they did it, but if you press subscribe you can block the whole list. Wait. I can’t paste links here. Search “block na$i list” and I found it there.
The person who is maintaining the mega block list has been inundated with request and cannot update it at this time. So my contribution to blue sky is building my own hater list where you can subscribe. Once subscribed all new additions are automatically blocked for you. DM the list to me.
@marcelias.bsky.social There are plenty of good lists already made by others like @numb.comfortab.ly but if you'd like to make your own personal "block-em", create a "list" in your profile, label it accordingly, and add all the offending users. Anyone who subscribes to it can select "block all".
This doesn't answer your question but is there a presidential recall button the American people can set forth besides the 25th amendment which seems to rely on congress? Thanks for your work.

@maryltrump.bsky.social
You could follow her and block all other Trump accounts, I think.
Add people, then:
Block>>>Share
Settings -> Moderation -> Moderation Lists -> New
@the47thgoat.bsky.social
They'll put it together for you and link all their accounts for one easy block.
I just used this one

Perhaps create and publish your own?

I already blocked several.
(Sorry, I know that hasn't answered your question!)
1- Click on lists in your account
2- At the top click "new"
3- Name your list and description
4-Go to the accounts you want to add to that new list by clicking the three dots in each individual account. There it has a choice of adding them to your list.
No dark clouds in a blue sky!!
list and blocked them all with one click😀
How to make a moderation list
“ The Walking Dumb”
Go to the starter pack tab on the top part of your profile page. Click it and it's easy to create.
