Many of us also remember the famous “hanging chads“ in Florida from the Bush/Gore 2000 election.

The Starlink theory is a red herring, however, there is a credible assertion being made that there was a hack in the tabulators in advance with code that was only triggered on election day. A hand recount would prove this right or wrong.

And this is exactly why states require Risk Limiting Audits.

Precincts are chosen at random and then hand counted and compared to the tabulator count.

These audits started the day after the election.

So far no county seems to have found they need to move to a full recount.

There NEEDS to be a hand recount with the paper ballots. Voting machine tabulation can NOT be trusted for the results of this election. Anything less is unconscionable.

No process produces identical outputs every time. These differences can be used to measure the normal variation of those differences. With machine processes, the variation can be reduced dramatically. With human processes, variation is much harder to control. Machines are less prone to variation.
