You know, I don't remember ever seeing the 10 commandments posted in a church when I was growing up. (My father was a preacher in fire and brimstone kinda church and a guest preacher at many churches - never once saw the commandments posted).
Is that a thing now? I don't go to church these days.
They will teach their children early the true meaning of hypocrisy and they will be rallying back against it.
But dad, at school they said that is bad and not acting like a Christian….. suddenly bibles removed….
It's a gateway Christo-fascist tactic. Get religion ensconced in public education, then later, hey it's not working, we need to put some crackpot priest in charge who receives direct communication from the heavens. That's how state religion as social control, a tool to gain worldly power, works.
No it does not. If they assault they they just tell you that it’s your fault and you need to forgive them. They are weak men. And I always wondered why the fuck then are they leading us? I was not well liked.
It'd be nice if we had people actually saying this out loud too their faces but they use religion like a sword and shield and too many people are afraid of being cut for some reason.
I think it is really hypocritical for the state of OK to want to post the 10 commandments in classrooms while the entire state supported trump who has very clearly broke most of them. What is that supposed to teach the kids? It doesn’t matter if you break these you can still be president?
Well nobody is going to church anymore but we’re forcing all the kids to go to school. Also adults are set in their ways kids are still malleable…which is why schools are able to convince kids to gender change so easy.
Southern culture has SO many dichotomies SO many contradictions SO many opposing ideas ... it is in our dna to swallow camels yet strain at gnats. i.e. a bit schizophrenic
I’ve never understood why states that could benefit from having Democratic leadership, vote Republican year after year, and never notice that nothing ever changes.
I think the rich white ruling class deliberately adopted a policy of divide and conquer. Poor blacks and poor whites had way more in common with each other than with massa in his mansion on the hill. And voting R is something fairly recent but it was for similar reasons
My folks moved a lot. I grew up Bapti-Metho-Presby-Costal. The most hateful & judgmental people I ever met were church witches. Worst bigot was a deacon. 3X convicted child-molester SS teacher in the Pentecostal church. No wonder I walked away. I have more peace of mind w/o all the pressure.
I want to know why these self-identifying Christians want to post the Ten Commandments and not the actual words of Jesus, the Beatitudes. I guess all that meek, humble, peacemaker stuff is just too woke for them. Jerks.

That was supposed to say preach but you know what? Kind of like it as is.

It hasn’t helped the crime or poverty levels go down or the education levels go up.
Mike Johnson even came to my town the week of the election.
I was out of town though, thank god.
