If the Administration adds 25% tariffs to imports from Canada, one of the most powerful retaliations would be a shutdown of electricity generated there and used by utilities to states in the Northeast, which includes New York. It is hard to imagine a move that would give Canada more leverage.

Absolutely. His “art of the deal” is the art of the con. Find new markets for your goods and over time reduce what goes to the US. That makes them a target for other countries to exploit. Mean time tariffs on niche perishable imports from the US. Try holding on to them when markets collapse.
