A) This was not a crash. It was an engine fire caused by a bird strike on takeoff. Neither is an uncommon occurrence.

B) There's already a "chart". It can be produced by going to https://data.ntsb.gov and submitting a query. It will show you that there have been 106 aviation incidents from 1/1 - 1/25.
