See? Opera training came in handy, because I couldn’t catch the words (like in opera), so I looked up the lyrics, then read up on the dustup btw KL and the other rapper guy, and learned what a crip walk was, and, seriously. That was not only half time “entertainment”. It was so deep! It was ART!
Trump installed himself in leadership at the Kennedy Center. He even promoted the J6 prison choir as an event. The Kennedy Center lost 50% in sales. MAGA base has no money & they certainly don’t patronize the Arts. They agonize over mowing the weeds surrounding the rusted car in the front yard.
Looking at these HUGE crowds of kids at Woodstock I keep wondering how many of these same people are now in the large crowds of boomers I keep seeing in the protests against Trump.
I'll be 70 in July. I was there, already politically active at the age of 14. Look at us, no social media or cell phones, 1/2 a million strong. No fighting, just everyone getting along. Our voices ended a war, raised awareness about the environment, and marched for civil and equal rights.
