I mean.... They don't have a super majority in the Senate so they do need some Democratic votes

we're about to find out. if the dems don't vote for it then Trump will try and get the filibuster nuked so it can be passed with a simple majority. I have no idea if John Thune will buckle under a concerted effort which, based on experience, we know will include death threats to him and his family->

during the house speaker debacle in late 2024 multiple members of the GOP caucus in the house reported over death threats, including people following and approaching family members in a menacing way. There were even vailed threats from other members of the caucus. This is going to get ugly
