Does the Cheif Justice in Wisconsin pass legislation? Or are they supposed to rule fairly of matters before the courts? It seems weird to me that the campaigns are divided between Dem and GOP when justice is supposed to be blind.
Honest question. How long is the term for the Cheif Justice?
Wisconsin is a purple state. Schimel was a poor choice for a candidate. People vote differently in these types of elections. This doesn’t mean that the state will flip to blue but it DOES mean that the people of Wisconsin will see much fairer representation which is needed for moral and livelihood ☺️
This is definitely a good thing, but if it’s so blue why did she win by only 10 points? TBH, idc I’ll take the win! We needed it. We need to keep the pressure on and add more. Fuck trump.
This is just a snapshot that doesn't dive into the success including underlying reasons on who didn't show up to the polls.
Wins should be recognized but there are to many people saying wildly optimistic things that do not breakdown why red voters didn't show up and blue ones did.
No recognition that the wild card of voter id laws will disenfranchise poor &/or rural voters on future votes.
Or a volume of far red voters who didn't show up who think they "set it and forget it" installed a dictator and these smaller elections no longer matter.
The Cheesehead-wearing,
Nazi-saluting,
richest man, Musk,
tried to buy a
Wisconsin election.
It didn't go well.
Waved giant $1 million checks
to bribe voters,
as if their democracy
was for sale.
No deal.
Voters sent him
back to Trump
w/those big checks
shoved up his ...
With their usual flair for cognitive dissonance, I fully expect Musk and co. to come out, after handing out million dollar cheques, and say Wisconsin voters were paid and the whole thing rigged.
Source please? It looks wonderful but I won't believe it until I see the source. I don't want to get my hopes up with fake news or "lying with statistics". I need to see with my own eyes so I can hope.
Well, while I am happy about the outcome, the Wisconsin Supreme Court's mandate, any Supreme Court's mandate is to fairly and accurately apply the law. My hope is that all Supreme Courts understand that responsibility.
That’s always bothered me but if the only media you’re exposed to tells you how bad and corrupt we are, and how extreme they must go to fix the corruption, and you never leave your bubble, then you’re trapped in an information vacuum and what they’re doing seems ok.
IMO they should Gerrymander TF out of that state so MAGA can NEVER buy it again!!
I know gerrymandering is bad. I do. But we are in a fight for our lives and when you’re in a fight you don’t care if it’s a gun or knife - you use every weapon you have. Plus if MAGA/republicons ever win they’d do it
I think something a little stronger can be implied though, based on the amount of people that voted. That is, people are angry! Very angry. And that’s beyond party affiliation.
This is why I’m for primaries and why I think dems need to think long and hard before sending candidates that have made a good living doing nothing… And worse yet, those like Schumer who have enriched themselves!
I don't know what US you are looking at, but currently in this universe it is and if someone doesn't stop the SAVE Act from passing it will be a one party fascist state.
Very cool! I hope this whole situation teaches the importance of voting. It’s shameful how many people didn’t bother to vote in 2024. Apparently it’s important lol.
Biden didn’t do enough to prove he had what it takes to be president. Doesn’t help that trump made promises he couldn’t keep, but people believed he’d ACTUALLY do what he said he’d do.
and what do you mean by "what he said he'd do"? let putin "do whatever the hell he wants" to our european allies? go after his political opponents? free the J6 goons who carried out his coup? get in destructive trade wars with our allies?
Biden was president, not Kamala. So yeah, Biden. HE did not do enough, but Kamala should’ve helped more as VP to make sure they got shit done to show they would be good to run the country. And I was referring to trump making promises such as lowering grocery prices “day 1” as he so stupidly said.
Hope this graph is real-bit confusing. The map seems to represent WI counties but there’s more arrows than counties. Do the lengths represent % shift? Either way, US shift so far has been dbl digits % toward blue. In 2026 ppl need to focus on red seats that won by less than 15% -to save this county.

GOP can ignore this. That’s fine with us
Instead of a shallow justification to do what you already wanted to.
Thank You Wisconsin!💙🤍❤️

No words of thanks to foot campaigns. No nods to people who used their reach to remind people to vote.
Just "see, its going to get better naturally" junk food that is a feels.
Or a volume of far red voters who didn't show up who think they "set it and forget it" installed a dictator and these smaller elections no longer matter.
We are considered purple, but with what we did in 2023 to flip the WI SC and yesterday to keep it, sounds pretty BLUE to me!

Political weather chart?

I think this is a graphic of arrows.
Wisconsin voted for their own human rights. To get that means a judge legislating from the bench.
Past that, I wouldn’t take too much away. This judge will decide whether my vote counts and whether I have human rights.
Dems aren’t beloved…
It may even sway someone to reconsider the usefulness of Elon in public campaigning.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
Bigger than 1.05%?!?
OMG 😱
🤣😏🤣
this is not a solution, this is a problem.
Did you know the centrist in the democrat in the party have there own project 2025.
it's not good for progressives.
Big F off to both parties.
Just vote Republican and get it over with. We really don't need you.
Representatives matter
If someone they don't care for wins a primary, there is nothing that says they get money from the party.
98% of the cash only goes to places they can win and/or hold onto.
My district is an r+12 or so, cash dose not come into the Aria, Jeannie Hendricks had to take out a 250k loan her first run.
They're corrupt, and not worth saving in my opinion
They spend to much time fighting each other
People are pissed. Especially Indies that lean dem. This may mean changing stance on Palestinian issues. But that can be a moderate stance.
It was intentional.
Turnout!!

i think he's doing it all.
