Yeah yeah, we've heard it all before. There's a bunch of software that detects if you're on Mario Kart 98 or 95 by only checking if the string ~begins~ with "Mario Kart 9", so they were afraid to break compatibility if they named it that. That's also why we never got a Mario Kart 6.
