I've literally had this couple of Dualshock 2s for TWENTY YEARS, and I've only ever had to change the rubber caps. They still work with no drift after uncountably many hours of GT4, GTA Vice City and San Andreas, FFXII, NFSU 1 and 2, THUG 1 and 2. Literal hundreds, probably even thousands of hours.

I need to change a blown fuse in my old PS2 to get rumble back and, as it turns out, not only are there PDFs of the full service manuals in the Internet Archive but it is also WRITTEN IN THE PCB SILK SCREEN which fuse I should use. It's almost as if it was made to be repaired. Absolute crazy idea!

I love DRM! I wish everything worked more like video game consoles and phone apps and less like free and open source software (which sucks and I hate). I also love patents, trademarks and copyright in general and I think the laws are very reasonably written in every country, also they help artists!

I get why we don't have quirky save file management menus like that anymore, most save files take up a trivial amount of space in any modern gaming system. But now that our modern problem is that we need to manage the space taken up by ENTIRE INSTALLED GAMES at least make a cute quirky menu for it!
