The shifts vary based on the contract signed (usually just shy of an OSHA violation). The wearers adopt his general attributes (mute, animated, etc.) but bring him to life in all different ways!
What does Tex use to get goo off his fur or costumes after Jaiy comes by for a show and makes a mess all over the place? How many more times until I get banned from coming to shows :(
Where did Tex come from? Is he magic? Is he a hollow mascot suit or something else? Why’s he love balloons? Does he want some balloons? Does he randomly show up at parties? (I have more)
Tex is the product of a kitschy themed restaurant in the late 80s-90s that’s long since closed. He’s a mascot that mostly appears as a walkaround character. He likes making people happy -> balloons make people happy -> he likes balloons. He shows up at parties but doesnt leave.
Is there a balloon animal that's the bane of Tex's existence? Like, I get there's a love of making all sorts of balloon animals, but when a patron would ask for XYZ, Tex would do it through gritted teeth, it was just not his fave?
His design was an evolution of a plush saber character from years past, added shiny clothes to sell the clown look. And “Tex” is short for latex (not sure I need to elaborate)
There was just one location for his restaurant, but there are two Tex suits. MSCT Code section 7, page 2 dictates at least one suit must be worn at all times to “keep the spirit of the character alive”
Make sure you give them juuuuussttt the right amount of hypnotherapy to keep them distinct while they always feel compelled to be "in character) 🌀🔒🐯 >:)
Lore-wise for Tex's world, how normal is it? Just basically a world with anthros, or does it have fun antics going on: superheroes, magic, sci-fi tech, a lot of tropes that could be played with (that I'm sure MSCT Industries would be happy to involve in their enterprising!)
So if he’s the sole employee - including the people who wear him - how do his services, like, work?
If you don’t mind my spitballing/headcanoning I imagine it like you rent him for a day, put him on, then you and him perform as one until the party’s over.
Does it actually need to be someone’s birthday to do a birthday celebration? Do you sing the happy birthday song now that it’s public domain, or did you keep your royalty free alternative birthday celebration song?
Have you come up with a name for the restaurant that Tex worked at?
If Tex had been made into an action figure/toy in the 80s/90s what would it be like? Poseable? Did it have a cool action feature? Did it come with an accessory?
Comments
The Pleistocene Lava Cake is pretty tasty tho
It didn’t last very long.
Least fav: Asparagus
its so cute!
...so uh ya got plans to sell these? Or like put em on bigger balloons?
I like the yellow ones, too! I want to shake hands with him
He’s the de facto owner, but officially he’s CCO (chief celebration officer)
:3
Spandex legged fluffer they are!!
In all seriousness, I’d love to have a balloon stand set up at a con dealers den someday

He’s not governed by the laws of copyright 🐯

I don’t know if he’d have an action figure, but maybe a plush toy you could dress up in various shiny outfits; ringmaster, cowboy, clown, etc. :3
Are there any other restaurants that Tex's restaurant competes with?
Does Tex have to go to a mascot-based restaurant trade show? How does that go?
He mostly goes to trade shows to teach the other mascots how to do their job (whether or not he’s authorized to do so is still up for debate)
