When I subscribed to the paper version of the NYT, the most compelling stories were at about A17. They were often tiny teasers that led me to research more about what was going on.

FWIW, I think Eric Lipton does really important work on Trump. I can see why he imagines that Trump doesn't manipulate him directly.
But he often is partnered with certain people whose PRIMARY purpose at NYT is to serve as a vector of manipulation (and when he's not, he is buried on p A17).
