Absolutely agree, I think that style hits a great balance between realistic and stylised that actually makes the graphics more timeless.

Maybe is just me but I feel stylized horror is more interessing than hyper realistic one. Im nor talking about story (i love stories related to realistic stories) but visuals and art direction, idk how to explain but I feel more scared or interessed on an abstract figure than the other way.

I've often found that a stylised art-style can help with suspension of disbelief. Because it's not pretending to be reality I can just accept it for what it is, allowing my brain to focus entirely on whatever story or atmosphere the visuals are trying to convey without getting distracted.

This tweet was based on "if Zelda was realistic" related post and... I think stylized works should remain as such or we should push more titles in that direction. Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed by current technology. I just feel not everything needs to look "real" to be good.

I read a phrase that goes sort of "We see realism everyday in our regular lives. Show me a different way to see daily objects." A stylized version of something is the artist trying to show us something only they can see. It takes us away from the ordinary.
