Nope. A nation only has to sign up to the principle of the Euro. The Maastricht Treaty does not specify a particular timetable for joining the euro area but leaves it to member states to develop their own strategies for meeting the condition for euro adoption.

If this happens, then activist leaders must come up with a way to escalate. It isn't acceptable to go against the will of the people. Brexit was built on lies, plus the electorate has the right to change their minds anyway now that all can see it for what it is - a failure.

This is the same tactics we were pushing for *nine years*. They will simply say that one or even two hundred thousand sigs is nothing compared to seventeen million people in 2016. Discussion is extremely necessary.
Breturn is artificially suppressed to "avoid divisions", while we have active culture wars that divide us. It's absolute hypocrisy.
Breturn is the only thing that can fix the UK economy, and bring back European freedoms to UK citizens.
It's good for the EU too.

Pretty much a 50/50 share of the Brexit vote, and the leave campaign was based on lies and false promises. Lies which can only be proved conclusively in time.
Now is that time.
The vote would be more informed now.

True, but when a country joins a serious union like the EU, there's an expectation that the relationship can't be destroyed by a razor thin vote. Continental Europeans might want a little more reassurance before hooking up again.

Maybe Scotland and N. Ireland could become EU members first?

True, the razor thin margin wasn't conclusive enough for me, to make such massive changes.
But then again, we had a stable EU membership for over half a century, so we can't exactly be seen as fickle.
The EU remit went well beyond it's original trading union. Both sides changed.
