It isn't going to happen. Trump will do what Trump wants. I fear Ukraine will be thrown to the wolves and UK/EU will try and appease Trump and come up with some form of words to justify their failure. The EU/UK/US failed back in 2014 - that was the time to stand up to Putin. Now is too late

Why not just use the old security guarantees? Both the US and Russia have give Ukraine security guarantees earlier. If this does not work, surely it must be the US and Russia that must yield the most in this deal for it to be remotely trustworthy.
