It also fails to address the fact that a lot of working age disabled people... Have jobs! The only thing this is doing is taking away the care support that allows people to work. It will end in higher numbers of disabled people quitting employment because they can no longer afford to get there.

I know 2 people on permanent disability, 1 was born with Cerebral Palsy and profound deafness, her grandmother is a MAGA millionaire and they have received $$$ since she was born. The other passed recently, they were paralyzed in an ATV accident at 21. Neither "paid in" what they took out.

Also, some people want their tax payments to be used to support others in need. Rather than, for example, use the money to engage in genocide or general killing of others. People's tax payments should be used for what they decide it should be used for. Otherwise it's extortion.

Whilst I agree with the thrust of this, it has to be accepted that we simply cannot afford to keep allowing the cost to rise. I think that a huge crunch is coming here and in the US, over the level of debt. At some stage markets will take fright and interest rates will rise as they did under Truss.

I am much better than I was when I was forced to leave the work I loved but I am writing this from my bed, resting managing my chronic fatigue. Prior to being ill I was a very fit active person who worked full time. I have grieved for the loss of the person I was.

Before there was vaccinations and often before the full symptoms and transmission was understood. Some worked for the NHS I worked for HMPPS. We could not stop doing our work. We were not given any PPE and we went from reasonably well paid jobs to massive cuts in our incomes. This is not a choice!

They can't. Each individual has very specific personal support needs and co-morbid conditions. Someone can maybe dress, wash, cook etc but that is only an external guide. It is what is inside the autistic experience, in my son's case, that is the issue. This is a very flawed approach, dangerous too.
