hey, just for the record, if your feminism sees men as an irredeemable evil, it's defeatist in nature and promises no solutions to the problem of patriarchy

I think it's the same fundamental issue as male misogyny - not recognizing people as human beings and defining them in a group as a stereotype, myth, or fantasy instead. Broad brushes like that are always wrong, the quality of human beings - of all subtypes - is highly variable.
this. groups are constructs that you *literally* have to sort individuals into. at best, every one roughly fits. at worst, you're *overfitting* and doing harm in the process.
I was accused of being a man hater recently (for acting assertively to a man trying to bully me). I said I’m not a man hater, I’m just not submissive to men. So tired of this misconception.
I do consider the male ego one of the (potentially) most dangerous things on the planet though.
i feel this in my bones like idk there are so many men who suck but like you have to be teaching men that theyre getting fucked over by the patriarchy or they'll never revolt against it
all abandonment is cruelty and begets pain. while there's no sense in accepting ongoing cruelty, it's definitely necessary to forgive once it has ceased. alexander pope said such was divine

You gotta provide a path for people to become decent and loving, otherwise there's no incentive to be anything but awful
in fact, shockingly, life itself is a lifelong work wildly
