I used to think these kinds of fold-out packaging were excessive, but I've had multiple standard plastic DVD and BD cases unable to handle the intense strain of "sitting on a shelf for five or ten years" so perhaps they were on to something

The only good thing I can say about Appleseed XIII is it exposed me to a lot of lesser known animators at tiny studios. I’d love to see the concept done again, having a different studio do each episode, just you know, with a half decent plot this time.

Frankly no, Tim, because there is a WILD swing between values of various old DVD releases. Sometimes there's a real historical treat so the price doesn't drop - those Zero Tester DVD boxes are still 12,000 yen - but some stuff just goes unheralded and gets marked down and down and down.

Man... when a show is VERY trendy, then that trend ends HARD? that's when you get bargains. I got 2 Love Live movie box sets and the 2016 'final' u's concert for 1,800 yen, all together. Those sets retailed for 10x that!

The brother unapologetically loves this movie and I’d say 90% it’s from them using Basement Jaxx’ GOOD LUCK in the middle of the film. The other 10%, ehhhh take your pick.
