I’m just sorry Robert Parry didn’t live long enough to be vindicated by this. He wrote about the October surprise story and linked it to Reagan’s White House in a Newsweek cover story. The White House called and had the entire issue pulled. He had kept a copy and would take it to his lectures.

Currently reading while on vacation with the family in DC. I am only about half way through and I am glued to this book. I remember these events and Mr Unger has opened a whole new level of this story that I can hardly believe. It’s stunning, in a good way. Grab a copy and read it!

I worked for Swissair at that time. We were the only major western airline who flew into Iran. I was shocked to see the role of the Swiss getting out the Americans in the Canadian Embassy in the film Argo. But not surprised. We flew many out.
