I'v heard him read Ellis Peter's Cadfael stories and he's good, but I think Stephen Thorne was even better at them. Plus Thorne's readings of Josephine Tey and Edmund Crispin stories are masterly.

You inspired me to go find it, and I’m blown away by how many times this has been recorded! Eventually I did find volumes 1 and 2 narrated by Tull. Thank you for the recommendation! A current day genius is Ray Porter. Project Hail Mary is the best book I’ve ever listened to, he’s that good.

Hi, Tracey. Patrick was a fine actor. We worked together in the theatre, early 60s, & used to have 'voice' & accent challenges over a beer & fish supper in our shared bed-sit - having spent the day rehearsing the next play AND performing that night. Roger Worrod, audiobook voice & producer.

I was swept away by Steve John Shepherd’s reading of ‘My Autobiography’ by Charlie Chaplin. Steve’s voice narrating Charlie’s astonishing life was all-absorbing. I was sad for it to finish. Wasn’t a major Chaplin fan before but I am now.

Patrick Tull was a magnificent narrator. Try his narration of Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey/Maturin series (ie, Master and Commander, and the 19 books that followed). So good.
