That font is actually New Rodin or ShinGo, they are extremely common fonts in japan, basically their helvetica/arial. That's why you see them in a lot of nintendo games. Also, the screenshot you provided from the Wii U doesn't actually contain the font at all, but many nintendo games use the font.
