You could play 3 on 3 (colloquially known as shithead). That’s all about the number and nothing to do with the suit. Biggest issues will be agreeing rules

In our household, we're big fans of Hearts, which to me has the perfect balance of luck and strategy. Caveat: you do need 4 players, but then you're golden.
