It can be hard to remember, but predatory men are almost universally intimidated by women, confidence, and groups. People might be surprised at how quickly many of them fold on this issue after encountering a party of us and not finding the easy victims they're hoping for. Protect each other.

They definitely don’t. Having to know how many miles / minutes you are from a safe restroom is something most people will never have to worry about. A few times a year my wife and I drive five hours through deeply rural countryside and it’s terrifying.

As a cis person, my solution to the latest situation is gender neutral spaces. If some women can't reasonably share their spaces, the spaces will be taken away. If it wasn't trans people, they would be whingeing about someone else, lesbians, minorities, young people etc. Has always been their way.
