Based on current politics in the States (and the lack of knowledge of it's leaders, especially for HHS), do you think there will ever be a point when the rest of the world stops following the directions of the CDC?

The rest of the world doesn’t really follow the directions of the CDC right now either though. Most countries have their own independent review and recommendations process!
That said, many do look at CDC’s page for resources, which I think will stop/reduce given circumstances.

The data is stark: 5x higher risk of ICU admission & 22x higher risk of maternal mortality due to COVID-19 infections in pregnancy. Also considerable risks to the fetus, higher risk of preterm delivery, low birth weight, stillbirth, & neonatal mortality.
