So, Trump appointee Judge Katsas is happy to chuck this decision over to the appellate court and ignore the 2022 law requiring the president to submit his decision as to why he is firing the inspector general because the president has an indeterminate measure of power. Sickening.

Immunity from prosecution. That doesn't mean immunity from consequences. Additionally, the entirety of the Executive branch is NOT immune. So those who carry out his illegal orders can be held liable. (At least that's what I gleaned from the whole immunity ruling. I hope I'm not wrong.)
