Agreed... there's something about being FIRMLY from the era of having to hang out with an asshole you despise because they're the local tape god, and therefore your connection to new stuff, while existing today, where anime is just a part of the background noise of everyday life.
It's just wild.
It's just wild.

One thing I'll never get use to is how normal anime is now. You use to start an "anime club" at your school, & it was the same 5 guys into DBZ. Now I walk down the street & there's cars with anime stickers on them every few blocks. You will never know how crazy that is to me.

That said, the Taunton flea market was a gold mine for new anime for babby Sam.
I mean, I still wear a mask in public because people.
Like I'm a woerdo weeb, but I try not to be overtly and covertly creepy
I have friends I will always want to spend time with, despite years apart...
People I'd rather never see again...
And even a few people who have actually threatened my life...
Man, what a wacky fandom we're in.
And yeah... I never took offense if someone looked at me like I was off for being an anime fan. Granted, I was used to it from my scifi fan days, but still.
Now it's half-naked waifus for days. Wild.
