Elon never once hid the cryptobroness of his business or lifestyle, he never once hid the apartheid gains he and his family secured their fortune from.
I think people really need to learn the difference between "I did no research on where my money was going" vs "I didn't know he sucked".
My only issue is the virtue signaling with trading in/selling their Tesla. You’re saying you (rightfully) don’t support the brand anymore but those cars won’t just disappear. Drive that bitch till the wheels fall off. Support the protest and educate new EV buyers on alternatives.
If enough folks dump them it'll crater the resale value. That in turn is an additional disincentive to buy a new one for those unpolitical jerks who'd still consider the brand.
This is literally what I’ve been thinking it’s so ugly and it looks uncomfortable. It’s akin to people buying tattered clothing from high end brands for no reason other than it being name brand. Only difference is now whenever these cyberfuckers drive around it feels like a statement.
One of the beliefs over reality thing Tesla does is sell on what it might be made to achieve in the future (e.g. Autopilot). So people buying the truck think that they are buying something that will become amazing through software upgrades...
...but the underlying design is just too bad to fix.
My landlord just bought a not-Cybertruck Tesla. And like, at least I don’t have to worry about him parking a dumpster/bomb at my back door. But how clueless can you be? “I’ve wanted one for years!”
People are really dumb tho. I had the exact same thought, but I always worry it's a mistake to assume the average person pays attention to the world around them.

Our talking points did not change between now and then. In fact, our against ledger has even more.
