This is why I cringe whenever someone tries to argue against misogyny with "what if it was your mother/sister/daughter/wife/etc.?"

This part, the part about how a man who spent almost 15 years awaiting trial decided to admit to rape only after a relative was raped... and used that in his mitigation plea, is truly something else.
