I'm so depressed by the seafood industry in Tasmania. I'm a fish consumer but one that prefers to eat whatever seafood is local to a region, and there's a lot of nice seafood in Tasmania's waters. Do we ever see any of it though or are we stuck with this industrially produced toxic swill?

The fact that it is cheaper to buy frozen wild caught salmon from Alaska & Canada says it all for me! Screwing over the local environment with non native species for profit is disgusting. When you see the devastation escaped fish does to other fisheries it is heartbreaking.
