Just replace them when you have to! Depends on how 'hard' you are on them, and running (and landing) style matters ... but I'm not a fan of complicating things ...

500-800km is the industry line and that’s around what I have found. I used to use running shoes for years but now it’s less than a year. I don’t know if the reduced life is actually better for my feet, or just a way of selling more shoes!
It depends on the shoe and use. Around 500km I thought rule of thumb. However, if your shoes have internal airpockets/gels, these collapse with use, meaning that the shoe is unstable long before external wear is visible. This imbalance can cause injury, especially with ⏫️ mileage.

I'm told 500km or 12 months, whichever comes first. I think I average 1500-2000km and 18-24 months, or about the point that I've worn the tread off the bottom and think "oh I should've gotten new shoes months ago. Fuck."
