Thanks @robyaxley.bsky.social and @norfolknats.bsky.social for a lovely friendly and educational event at Felbrigg Park today. Can I lower the tone and ask if this is Enerthenema papillatum?

Great photo! My working assumption was that this was Metatrichia floriformis, but I took a sample home to look at & check. Your picture nicely shows a tiny disc on top, so I think you might well be right with Enerthenema papillatum, which i confess I've not come across before. I'll get back to you.
I've had a reply from Barry Webb (who takes amazing slime mould images, see https://www.barrywebbimages.co.uk/Images/Macro/Slime-Moulds-Myxomycetes) who says yes, definitely Enerthenema papillatum. That disc visible at the top is a distinctive feature FYI @robyaxley.bsky.social & @naturenorfolk.bsky.social
Incidentally there was one Norfolk record of it last year, but prior to that it had last been seen at Felbrigg in 2003, by national slime mould expert Bruce Ing.
