I had a meeting with my relatives/Whānau from Aotearoa today to talk about the summit. There are 7 from Whanganui. A handful more from the North part of the North Island. A few from the South Island. Mobs from the First Nations in Australia. Kānaka Maoli from Hawaii. They will converge on my lands
in June. A migration to my far North to share story, OUR stories of birds and how they've helped us build our cultures. How they've brought us together. We sing the song of community. Of conservation. Of love...
