I’m still 100% Howe in but if we don’t get Europe this season I can see the owners making a change.

I’m not so sure. I’m split to be honest. Performances have been allover the place for a while. His rigid 433 doesn’t help either. Some players need to take a good look at themselves though.

Aye I think a lot of it comes down to the players tbh but it would be nice if it looked like Eddie has a plan b which atm it really doesn’t seem to be the case. Time to be Ruthless in the market in the summer if he is to stay, no more keeping players because you like them, we need real quality.

I actually feel that’s Howes weakness, far too loyal. Some players need told they are being transferred or left out. I mentioned Howes forever 433 earlier. So many second half’s we’ve looked worse as whatever plan b is - it doesn’t work (I don’t feel there is a plan b btw)

Yeah he had the same problem at Bournemouth, hanging on to players way too long which eventually made the side go stale and become easy to beat. Mitchell needs to tell Howe he’s selling players and just do it, feel like Eddie is too nice sometimes and needs someone to do the ruthless bits.

I think Mitchell will have a big influence going forward. He’s a Pif appointment and their man. Will only be one winner.

Seems like top teams don't wanna meet us at SJP while the rest reckon they have a fair shot... This is a management issue. Luton, last year, took four points from us.

Agree with a lot of this & want Howe to get it right but you could say individual errors are due to lack of focus & ultimately it's the managers job to ensure the squad approaches the game in the right frame of mind, as intangible & unfair as that may be, his motivational techniques are not working

I don’t know what it fixes. He hasn’t been given the resources in the last two windows to fix deficiencies in the squad that were being papered over, particularly RW and RCB. The chickens are now coming home to roost.

Agree but these players can’t keep raising and dropping their levels. You’re right - we’ve just not done anywhere near enough as far as incoming. Seemingly can’t spend so won’t be a quick fix.

I think it needs a restart. Bank as much as we can from sale of Bruno (and probably Isak and Gordon too unfortunately) and rebuild from there. 3 bad transfer windows have set the project back by probably as much as 3 years.

I’ve been saying for a while now it’ll take something like that. I reckon Bruno and Isak will be away this summer regardless. Mitchell knows what he’s doing I feel. The money will be spent properly. Fact we signed Barnes for me was a signal we didn’t really know what we were doing.

Yeah. The whole strategy needs a big rethink and that might ultimately mean losing Howe. But not yet. If we don’t manage good cup runs this season is going to be one hell of a drag.

Whatever we think of Eddie on a personal level and we all love him I think, it's obvious the players aren't playing for him.
If we play like that for the rest of December I think he'll be gone.
