I don't think another manager necessarily has to mean starting over, if it's a manager that plays a similar style of football who wants a similar squad then the transition can be quite smooth, while freshening things up, see Poch to Maresca or Klopp to Slot. Not saying fire Ange today, mind you.

I respect your opinion and think it makes sense but personally disagree. Take the post-Ferguson United for example: giving time to managers won't help if they're not the right fit.

Agree, but also should recognize that you can be Ange-in and be critical at times. No doubt Spurs need roster depth off the bench. But, the idea of rebuilding has me wondering which starter isn't good enough? Udogie? Porro? Sarr? Yves? Rodrigo? Romero? Son? Deke? He's brought in everyone else.

One major concern I have is, the talk is always focused on depth. But Ipswich, Bournemouth, and Forest results saw Spurs with a front 6 that are supposed to be our top players. And they were not good enough. They were below average at best. And bad games happen sure - but, still concerning.

If the starters are not good enough, then the depth doesn't matter. Is a starting lineup of Solanke-Son-Deke/Madders-Johnson-Yves/Sarr/Rodrigo-Udogie-Romero-VdV-Porro-Vicario good enough to compete for EPL title? If the answer is no, which I think it may be - then depth isn't the primary problem.

Of course, but that is a two part problem. 1 - Youth Development being below average and 2 - Paying starters, what competitors play depth/squad players. The idea that Spurs are going to find players willing to sit on the bench and get paid 50% less than other places offer, is naive.

I totally agree with you. I read other opinions, I understand what's being said but disagree so vehemently I'm beyond discussing it. It's tough ATM, we have to get through it, but beyond limited takes on individual players I don't think there's anything to learn while so many players are out.

I read other opinions too and while I can appreciate some of the critiques, I feel strongly that now is the WRONG time for it, it sows unnecessary doubt in the mind of wavering fans, and heaps undue pressure on team and manager. I get the rationale is that it puts pressure on Levy to "spend more"...

But I don't think that kind of pressure affects Levy at all. The player requirements Ange is identifying, and, critically, fans being fully behind Ange are FAR more effective pressures. Getting rid of the manager does NOTHING to encourage Levy to "spend more". More likely to spend less.

This is spot on…the man is working with a skeleton crew at the moment. We’ve seen what this team is capable of when they’re healthy. To sack Ange now and have these adapt to yet ANOTHER system is not the best idea.
