Oh man season 1 was amazing, I watched season 2 first because it was on Netflix before the first one, and it definitely felt watered down by comparison, didn't expect "Yakuza boss gets a trans girlfriend" to be the plot of the first episode of the first season
He was cast on a children's show in his mid-career, and their ratings went through the roof as all the moms home with their toddlers tuned in to watch because he's so cute. Kids shows started writing characters just so they could cast good looing young men, to jack up ratings with the mom audience.
I used to encourage my kids to watch Henry Danger (not for the kid, obviously).
But Captain Man was a whole snack.
